One of the most attended recreational fishing lakes of the Euganean hills
The lake was born consequently to the excavating in the pit named “La Motta”
Following the extraction activities, an aquifer is touched, therefore it fills up the entire dig, giving rapidly shape to the body of water afterwards named Lago delle Rose.
During the ’60s, the lake is used as a proper beach in Monselice, equipped with sand and changing rooms (on the side, a picture from that period). In addition to the bathing activity, every night is livened up by local music bands in the bar built on the terrace, making the lake a landmark for the whole area.
In the ’70s, the activity is reshaped to a club, because its popularity decline as bathing place.
After a short period in which it was abandoned, the lake was reborn in 2016, when is assigned to the function of recreational fishing lake, which is still now, being one of the most attended recreational fishing lakes of the Euganean hills.
