Welcome to Lago delle Rose
Carp Fishing Italy
Recreational fishing lake in Padua, Veneto, Italy
Lago delle Rose in Arquà Petrarca is a recreational fishing lake situated in the Euganean Hills. It is one of the most evocative lakes in this area, for its being located at the foot of Montericco, between the two villages of Monselice and Arquà petrarca, in the province of Padua, in the region of Veneto, Italy.
The lake was born as a cave, and following the extraction activity, the aquifer filled up the whole pit making briefly what this terrific body of water is now. Between the ’60s and the ’70s, it was assigned to bathing, with a genuine bathhouse.
Later on, the activity of the lake was modified and nowadays it is a recreational fishing lake in Padua, in Veneto.
Throughout the whole year, carpfishing, spinning, and sturgeon fishishing are performed, in addition to all others fishing activities within the no-kill technique.
Today, the lake is run by a recreational fishing association named A.S.D. Lago delle Rose, which deals, besides all the sport fishing activities performed usually by the lake, with the organization of fishing competitions in Padova, and fishing school courses for kids and young men.
